So many people are saying "Got to be earlier" but don't realize that's usually not possible for most students. Just my experience in HS, school got out at 3. If I had any extracurriculars that would add atleast 2 hours maybe even 3. Let's you really get done around 5:30. You get home around 6. Clean up and chill for a bit until 7. Eat dinner. Bam it's 8pm Then you got atleast 3-4 hrs of homework a night if you want to keep your weekends relatively chill. On a good day I would be done around 11. On a bad day, I would be done around 2. Add to this the fact that a lot of teenagers have their circadian rythms shifted so they naturally get sleepy a bit later than usual.

I don't know why everybody is complaining about that. I wake up a 6 am when I have school but at 4.30 when I have to work. Once you finished school your sleep schedule is destroyed anyways so stfu

I used to start school at 8:30, fininsh at 3:30. That shit was easy, only reason I was tired is because I stayed up too late. Nothing to do with the school

Went to a super preppy high school for a year. School started at 6:45 am and ended at 4:30 pm. Was forced into atleast one sport so I was put on the baseball team. Practice lasted everyday but Sunday till 9 pm. Since this was a top school in the area the curriculum was rough so 3 hours of homework/studying at the minimum. So if I wanted 0 enjoyment in life 12 am was the earliest I could sleep but since I can't fall asleep fast even with pills usually ended up sleeping around 2-3 am. Wake up at 5 to get ready and go to school. Worst year of my life. Atleast I was fit af and weighed only 68 kg.

I have school either super early or super late... like imagine having mondays at 1pm and tuesdays at 7:45am

Australian schools start at 9....I use to go to school in South Africa which started at 7, I much prefer the 9am starts because you can still stay up till mid night or past and still get 8 hours of sleep
